Never let stale code sit around on a machine for more than one day. Otherwise you’re just asking for trouble. ‘Nuff said.

there was a time that the saying was, “Never let the sun set on bad code.” If you couldn’t check in at the end of the day, delete it and start over the next day

Yep… I’ve always viewed that code that can’t be completed at the end of the day has the glaring problem of starting too big.
